Publications • Included for purely sentimental reasons is this international film journal published in Portland, Oregon, and distributed worldwide. In 1978, Cinemonkey was my first job as a magazine art director, and I did everything including strip the prepress negatives. Editor D.K. Holm and I lambasted overrated films in a satirical comic strip in each issue. The magazine never published its final issue, which I completed from Seattle in 1980, but Cinemonkey was resurrected by Holm as a website in 1999. By the way, the magazine’s name was lifted from Vladimir Nabokov’s short story “A Russian Beauty.” • |
