Battling Butler
(1926)

Buster Keaton’s boxing film is not as well known as his other features, but is just as funny. It is a pleasure to see a comic master at work.

We have not seen the DVD. We have seen the program material as previously released on laserdisc.

The DVD also includes The Haunted House (1921) and The Frozen North (1922). Our expectation is that each film is of identical or slightly improved picture quality as the laserdisc edition. We were pleased with the prints utilized for the video transfers on the laserdiscs. There is no reason to assume that the DVD editions will be flawed in comparison. On our familiarity with the Keaton films here, and on our viewing of the laserdisc editions, we heartily recommend this DVD.
