Georges Méliès is best known for his inventive and visually-striking short films that helped to establish the new technology of motion pictures as a worldwide entertainment industry.

This collection of 15 films by pioneer filmmaker Georges Méliès also contains a documentary on Méliès by Jacques Mény. We have not seen this disc for review as yet. However, we have heard that a small logomark is superimposed on the lower left-hand corner throughout the program, and some or all of the films are tightly cropped.
