We have previously seen the film in its 1990s laserdisc edition, and that edition was of very-good visual quality. However, most Russian films appear to have survived and been preserved in less than ideal condition.

Our first look at this early DVD edition shows that producer Corinth Films makes the most of a slightly flat and dark source print that nonetheless impresses from time to time with its image detail.
