The Universal Film Manufacturing Company, Incorporated, was a merger of IMP, Rex, Éclair, Nestor, Powers, Champion, Yankee, and the New York Motion Picture Company. Later in 1912 added the companies Republic and Gem, and distributed in the United States for Ambrosio and Itala. In 1921, the corporation was reformed into Universal Pictures Corporation.
