Premiered 18 June 1916 at the Columbia Theatre in San Francisco, California. General release, October 1916. / Standard 35mm spherical 1.33:1 format. / Working title: The Argonauts. The production was shot in Monrovia, California. The first production from Monrovia Feature Film Company. The film was rereleased in the USA (at seven reels) as The Vigilantes on State Rights basis by Arrow Film Corporation in 1918; character names were changed presumably to disguise that the film was a rerelease of the earlier production.
