There may to be two separate versions of this film, taken at different times, both listed as Lumière film number 99. The second film may be known by the above title and shot in 1896 by Doublier, the original may have been known as Le jardinier and was shot in 1895 by Lumière. Generally thought to be the first film comedy. The first French fiction film.
