Synopsis: [?] [From The Moving Picture World]? Ancient Egypt has fallen into the bands of the mighty Caesar, who first meets Tagra and her daughters drawing water in their pitchers from the sacred river Nile. At the sight of the beauty of one of the daughters, Tsit by name, Caesar commands that Tagra and her daughters shall appear at the feast to be held that night in the palace. In the home of Tagra the Egyptians bitterly lament that they dare not disobey the tyrant’s will, and in the evening the mother and the other daughter set out for the feast. Tsit remains behind, but Caesar, irate that his will should be thwarted, sends messengers to her to repair immediately to the palace. She obeys the command, but the Egyptians incensed resolve to burn the palace. Within the palace revelry runs high, and Tsit dances before the all-conquering hero and his guests. Suddenly an Egyptian soldier glides in, the gleam of a lighted torch is seen, and the palace is fired. It soon becomes a burning furnace, the glowing walls fall and crush the hitherto victorious Romans, while the Egyptians save Tagra and her daughters. So ends the picture.
