Peacocke, from the play Faust by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. / Standard 35mm spherical 1.33:1 format. / The production from late 1916 was left incomplete and unreleased when, after Middleton and his wife Michelena submitted their resignations on 6 November 1916 effective upon the completion of the film. After that date, the producers asked Michelena to complete the film without salary, when $12,000 in unpaid salary was already due to Michelena. She refused, and the production was shut down.
