Assistant director, Fritz Lang. / Eight episodes [each at feature length]. / Standard 35mm spherical 1.37:1 format. / Edited by assistant editor Peter Milne (and others) to four episodes and released in the USA as Mistress of the World in 1922 by Hamilton Theatrical Corporation (through Paramount Pictures Corporation). The original American edit of the serial was: episode one The Dragon’s Claw (six reels); episode two The Race for Life (six reels); episode three The City of Gold (six reels); episode four Saved by Wireless (five reels). Bad reviews forced the combination of episode three and four into a single feature of seven reels entitled The City of Gold.
