The Light in the Dark

Hope Hampton Productions, Incorporated, production; distributed by Associated First National Pictures, Incorporated. / Produced by Hope Hampton. / Released October 1922. / Standard 35mm spherical 1.37:1 format. / A three-reel abridged version of the film has survived (as has a four-reel abridged version); retitled The Light of Faith and used in the thirties by a religious group as an inspirational film. A four-reel version was recovered by The Serial Squadron in 2003. A 70-minute reconstruction was produced by the International Museum of Photography and Film at George Eastman House.

Drama.

Survival Status: Incomplete prints exist in the International Museum of Photography at George Eastman House film archive [35mm positive (three-reel version)], and in the Serial Squadron film library [35mm nitrate positive (four-reel version)].
