The film was originally directed by Fred Newmeyer and was shot on 3-17 January 1922, with retakes on 18-19 January 1922, but Newmeyer’s footage was scrapped after test previews in Los Angeles, California, and the film was reshot by McGowan on 2-17 February 1922. The first ‘Our Gang’ production, but released third chronologically. Approximately half of the film is thought to survive. A 16mm reduction print (approximately 4 minutes of footage) was offered for sale on eBay in 2002.
