The Price of Silence
(1913) American
B&W : Short film
Directed by (unknown)

Cast: Coy Watson Jr. [infant], Golda Watson [young woman in saloon with cowboys]

The Selig Polyscope Company, Incorporated, production; distributed by The General Film Company, Incorporated. / Standard 35mm spherical 1.37:1 format. / The film was produced at the Selig Edendale, California, studio. Coy Watson Jr. in Watson-Keystone pp. 42-46 incorrectly recounts appearing as an infant actor with Dorothy Phillips and Lon Chaney in this Selig film. Phillips and Chaney appeared in The Price of Silence (1916) produced by Bluebird. It is likely that Watson appeared in this Selig production, produced in Edendale, California, only blocks from his home, and only is in error as to the stars of the film.

Drama.

Keywords: Children: Babies, Infants - Cowboys - Families: Mothers (Unwed) - Saloons - Train Stations

Listing updated: 23 January 2008.
