Madge returns her engagement ring to Dick with a note saying that a woman’s true mission in life is to be of service to her fellow beings and that, therefore though she still loves him, she is going to be a nurse at a sanitarium. A month later, Dick plays golf with the sanitarium’s doctor and tells him of his plight, and together they hatch a plot for Dick to become a patient at the sanitarium. It is a clever plot, and plays havoc with Madge’s determination to give her life to others.
