The Alaska Theatre had a Skinner theater pipe organ installed in 1914, presumably the year of the theater’s opening. Renown organist Jesse Crawford performed at the Alaska Theatre in the 1910s.

Sometime in the 1920s, the theater’s name changed to the Strand Theatre. The Strand Theatre was a first-run house. Seattle organists Warren Wright and Fred Feringer performed at the Strand.
