One of the earliest Italian epics, director Enrico Guazzoni made a sweeping film that still impresses today.

This DVD-R edition from Grapevine Video has likely been mastered from a 16mm reduction print. The disc has been mastered from an analog video master that is described as “not as sharp as digital transfers. There is also a slight WOW in the sound track sometimes.” The film is accompanied by an organ score, likely compiled from preexisting recordings.

This DVD-R edition from eBay retailer Buyers’ Gallery Video has likely been mastered from a 16mm reduction print. We wouldn’t normally cover product from low-profile DVD-R retailers like this, but this is the only known home-video edition of this film.
