Flicker Alley has followed their successful freshman effort, The Garden of Eden (1928), with this American DVD edition of the 12-part French crime serial. The edition is touted as presenting the most-complete version of the serial available, with an excellent new orchestral music score by Robert Israel.

Our first look at the disc reveals a set of very-good to excellent 35mm source prints, with light speckling, dust, and other very minor blips.

Also included is an 18-minute featurette comprised of scenes from the serial and a voiceover by Israel on his scoring of the film, and a booklet introductory essay by Jan-Christopher Horak.
