This DVD edition features a selection of the surviving Oswald the Lucky Rabbit cartoons that have been transferred from 35mm prints (and a few 16mm reduction prints). The early films are presented in windowboxed transfers, while the later films are presented in full-frame transfers.
The film is accompanied by an excellent music score by Robert Israel, performed by a small orchestra.
Supplementary material includes the feature-length documentary The Hand Behind the Mouse: The Ub Iwerks Story (2007) by Leslie Iwerks; animated original pencil drawings for the lost film Sagebrush Sadie (1928).
This edition is very hard-to-find these days but well worth the search. Highly recommended.

This DVD-R edition has likely been mastered from a 16mm reduction print.
The film is likely accompanied by a soundtrack compiled from preexisting music recordings.
We sincerely question why this disc is being sold for fifteen dollars when it contains only one cartoon.
