The Warner Egyptian Theatre operated as such from 1925 through circa 1940.
Circa 1940, the theater was renamed the Uptown Theatre, a name under which it operated until 1987. From 1987, the building was used as a warehouse until December 2002, when restoration efforts began.
After restoration, the theater will reopen as the Oasis Historical Theatre. Restoration volunteers should call James L. Perry at 626-844-8886.
