The Granada Theatre was a first-run house, and operated from 1921 through 1930. In the latter 1920s, the theater was purchased by Fox.

On 31 January 1931, the theater was acquired by Paramount Publix and the theater’s name was changed to the Paramount Theatre, a name under which it operated until 1965.
