The New Mission Theatre was a premier second-run house.
Architect Timothy Pflueger worked on the theater’s 1932 renovation.
The theater was closed in 1993, and was accepted as an official San Francisco landmark, number 245, on 18 May 2004. A nonprofit group is working to save and restore the theater, but the building remains in private hands.
