The Dreamland Theatre opened in 1910. The theatre was renamed the Liberty Theatre in 1917. The building burned in 1919, and was restored and reopened in 1921.

The theater operated under several owners until it closed in the 1970s, when the building became abandoned and was used for storage.

The theater was restored through the 1990s and reopened as a live and motion picture theater in 2001.
