Itala Film Company production. / Scenario by Gabriele d’Annunzio. Cinematography by Segundo de Chomon. Intertitles by Gabriele d’Annunzio. Music score by Ildebrando Pizzetti and Manlio Massa. / Premiered 18 April 1914 in Turin, Italy. / Standard 35mm spherical 1.37:1 format. / The first use of trucking shots; these camera movements quickly became known as Cabiria movements. Mussolini had a small part in the film. Some prints were hand-tinted. An extant print contains a reference to Visione Storica Del Terzo Secolo A.C.
