Color-tinted. / Fantasy trip utilizes fades, dissolves, stop-motion photography, elaborate sets, moving sets, cartoons, table-top miniature sets, and shooting underwater scenes through fish tanks with live fish. 32 scenes. An original music score was prepared for the September 1903 premieres in Paris, London and New York. Some prints were hand-tinted. The film was © 3 September 1903 in the USA.
Survival status: Prints exist in the National Film and Television Archive of the British Film Institute film archive; in the International Museum of Photography and Film at George Eastman House film archive [incomplete 35mm positive]; and in the Library of Congress film archive (paper print collection) [35mm paper positive].
