The Keystone Film Company production; distributed by Mutual Film Corporation. / Scenario by Charles Chaplin. / No copyright registration. Released 1 August 1914. / Standard 35mm spherical 1.33:1 format. / [?] Completed or shipped? on 18 July 1914. The film was reedited and rereleased in the USA as The Roustabout by W.H. Productions Company in 1918. The film was rereleased in the USA as Charlie’s Vamping Venus. The film was restored by the British Film Institute in 2005.


Survival status: Prints exist in the National Film and Television Archive of the British Film Institute film archive [35mm restoration negative, 35mm restoration positives]; also in private film collections [16mm reduction positives].
