Motion Picture Distributing and Sales Company was reorganized into the distribution arm of The Universal Film Manufacturing Company, Incorporated, in 1912, which was a merger of IMP, Rex Film Company, American Éclair, Nestor Film Company, Powers Picture Plays, The Champion Film Company, Yankee Film Company, and the New York Motion Picture Company.
