Famous Players Film Company production; distributed on State Rights basis. / From the play adaptation A Good Little Devil by Austin Strong of the play Un Bon petit diable (A Good Little Devil) by Rosemond Gérard and Maurice Rostand. Cinematography by Edwin S. Porter. Presented by Daniel Frohman. / Previewed 10 July 1913 at the Third National Convention of the Moving Picture Exhibitors’ League. Released 1 March 1914. / Standard 35mm spherical 1.37:1 format. / The production was shot in May 1913 at Famous Players studio on 26th Street in New York, New York. Belasco appears in a prologue. Pickford’s first feature film to be shot was released only after three previous features had already been released.
